Barrel & Vine in Lemont, Illinois, is a standout American restaurant that masterfully blends a rustic ambiance with a sophisticated dining experience. Nestled on Main Street, this vibrant spot invites guests into a warm, inviting space where the dim lighting and stylish décor set the perfect scene for an intimate dinner or a festive family celebration.
The restaurant’s menu is an inspired showcase of rich, carefully crafted flavors that reflect both classic American fare and international influences. Favorites like the Slow Roasted Tomato Bruschetta delight with its grilled sourdough base, whipped goat cheese, fresh basil, and a tantalizing balsamic glaze that balances tang and sweetness. For heartier appetites, the Pan Seared Duck is a decadent highlight—succulent duck paired perfectly with smoked pork belly lardons, creamy garlic mashed potatoes, and brussels sprouts, all enveloped by a luscious cherry demi-glace that lingers on the palate.
The culinary craftsmanship shines through on every plate, whether it's the vibrant Pesto Shrimp Risotto with jumbo shrimp bathed in rich pesto and crispy leeks, or the creative and savory Charcuterie Board that pairs artisan meats with delightful accompaniments. Don’t miss indulgent finishes like the Salted Caramel Cookie Skillet or the silky Sticky Toffee Pudding, desserts that perfectly cap the meal with luscious sweetness and comforting textures.

Barrel and Vine consistently delivers an excellent dining experience. The food is top-notch, the service is attentive and friendly, and the atmosphere is welcoming. Our family has made it a tradition to celebrate birthdays here, and the Plainfield location continues to impress. Some of my personal favorites are the 90 Miles to Cuba and the Churrasco Plate with a side of Chimichurri Fries. Whether you’re looking for a great spot for a dinner date or a place to bring the whole family, Barrel and Vine hits the mark every time.
We came here for dinner and the food was delicious and our server was fabulous. The menu has a great variety for anything from salad to seafood to steaks. The atmosphere was nice although it can get a little noisy. There is a nice bar where you can grab a drink while you wait for your table. We will definitely be back to try more items!
Date night brought us to Barrel & Vine. We heard about this restaurant through my son. So glad we did. The food and cocktails were fabulous! There's a small bar area when you walk in and a larger dimly lit dining room room toward the back. Our server was Kayla and she provided good service and was friendly. My husband had one of their old fashioneds and I had a bees knees. Their bartender knew how to make the perfect bees knees. If you like bourbon, their bourbon list is a couple pages long and they stock some very hard to get and expensive bourbon. My husband and I decided to get three small plates and an entrée and split everything. We started with the brie and fig crostini - creamy soft cheese with figs on top of a toasted bread with a side of honey. Tasty. Next we had the grilled Spanish octopus with potatoes and a chimichurri sauce. Great flavor, however, heavy on the potatoes and skimpy on the octopus. It looked nothing like the photo from the restaurant. You can see the difference in my photo of what we got versus their Facebook photo. The next plate was one of their salads, the burrata and prosciutto - mesclun greens and roasted plum tomatoes topped with prosciutto and burrata with a little pesto and balsamic glaze served with grilled bread. Again, great flavor and loved the creamy cheese. Our final item was the chicken paprikash - braised bone in chicken breast in a smoked paprika tomato sauce with crispy potato dumplings topped with sour cream. We ventured into something we haven't had before, and I loved this Hungarian dish with smoky flavor and tender chicken. Service was good, cocktails creative and food delicious. We'll be back!
Nice place, great atmosphere, mostly friendly staff. I would recommend making reservations. We did not have one, and the hostess was a little rude and told us we needed to be out by a specific time. Our waiter was great. Very helpful, exchanged a drink that wasn't too great. The other drinks were delicious. The food was very tasty, the dessert was delicious and we would highly recommend getting some. We will definitely come back again.
Brie and Cheese crostini was delicious! Lamb shank was tender and fall off the bone. Love that they offered delicious and refreshing mocktails. Ambiance was warm and rustic.
Barrel & Vine in Lemont is hands down one of the best dining experiences I’ve had in a long time! From the moment we walked in, the atmosphere was warm, inviting, and stylish — the perfect balance of classy and comfortable. Our server Amanda was amazing — attentive, friendly, and genuinely passionate about making sure we had a great time. She made fantastic recommendations from both the food and dessert menus. You can really tell she loves what she does! The food was phenomenal — every dish came out perfectly cooked, beautifully presented, and full of flavor. The dessert selection is top-notch.
